TOURISM – CUMULATIVE DATA¹⁾ January – December 2005

In the period from January to December 2005, as compared to the same period of 2004, the number of tourist arrivals in all accommodation facilities in Croatia increased by 6% and the number of tourist nights by 8%.

Tourists realised 51 420 948 tourist nights: 10.6% by domestic tourists and 89.4% by foreign tourists.

In the period from January to December 2005, the number of domestic tourist nights increased by 3% and foreign tourist nights by 8%, as compared to the same period of 2004.

Concerning the structure of foreign tourist nights (81%), the most of them were realised by tourists from Germany (23.9%), Italy (12.4%), Slovenia (11.1%), Czech Republic (8.8%), Austria (8.2%), Hungary (5.2%), France (4.2%), Netherlands (4.2%) and Poland (3.0%). Tourists from other countries realised 19% of tourist nights.
